Lately, we’ve been taking on exciting new work—mastering MOFFETT deliveries in tight spaces, hauling oversized loads on flatbeds, and even completing our first international job to Dunkirk, France. As a growing Manchester haulage company, we’re always looking for ways to expand our expertise.

Mastering MOFFETT Work: Delivering Where Others Can’t

MOFFETT work has changed the way we handle tricky deliveries. Many building sites don’t have lifting facilities, so we’ve been delivering construction materials and emergency water stations using our own offloading equipment. Having control over the process makes deliveries smoother and more efficient.

The real challenge comes in tight or awkward delivery spots. Some of our toughest jobs have been night-shift drops, where space was extremely limited, and precision was everything. MOFFETT work requires patience and planning, but it improves delivery flow and keeps operations running safely.

Flatbed Hauls: Oversized Loads and Marine Transport

Our flatbed work has taken an interesting turn recently. We’ve been moving large 8-metre boats to naval bases and dry stacks for testing. Transporting something that size isn’t just about securing the load—it takes careful route planning and skilled drivers to ensure everything arrives safely. It’s been a great challenge and something our team has really enjoyed.

Chadkirk Goes International: A Critical Dunkirk Delivery

For the first time, we took Chadkirk Transport international, delivering essential boat parts to a manufacturer in Dunkirk. The job was crucial. The boat couldn’t leave the dock until we arrived with the new parts, and we had to bring the broken ones back for repair.

International work comes with new challenges. A paperwork delay meant we missed our ferry, forcing us to wait for the next day’s crossing. When we finally got it, the paperwork was incorrect—causing even more delays! Despite this, we completed the job and gained valuable experience for future European work.
