Dedicated Transport vs. Pallet Networks

Spend less time worrying about logistics and more time on your business.

Are you indecisive between using a pallet network or switching to a dedicated service? Each serves a different purpose and there are many advantages to both.

A pallet network can save you money, especially if you have multiple parcels being shipped out daily all across the UK.

A dedicated service does what it says on the tin. A vehicle and driver is assigned to your consignment and your consignment only. No co-loading. No diversions. Your goods are handled with extra care, dramatically reducing the risk of them being damaged during transit.

What are the benefits of a dedicated service?

  1. Time specific deliveries – maybe a customer only accepts deliveries and pickups on certain days or certain times. With dedicated transportation, a truck will be available at that time, ready to load or unload your shipment.
  2. Special care and handling – for products that need special handling or deliveries that are more complex, dedicated is frequently the better option.
  3. Reliability – no more wondering where your goods are. Once we have collected them, they go directly to the delivery location. No stopping in between.
  4. Real-time tracking – You have end-to-end load tracking. At Chadkirk Transport, we have high quality GPS trackers fitted in all of our vehicles, so you can track your vehicle at any given time with reliable estimated delivery times.

In the past year, two companies have started using our dedicated service instead of their usual pallet networks. The products were high end and often one load can be worth up to £50,000 so ensuring they are transported with extra consciousness is extremely important. As a result, they have reduced costs in damages and gained time focusing on more important things in their business. You may pay a little more upfront, but you save costs down the line.

The stress is taken away from you. Our dedicated and professional team handle it for you. Provide the collection and delivery details and we’ll sort the rest!
